Sangha Charter & Code of Conduct
1. Sangha Charter
Wave & See Creative Sanctuary is a community (Sangha) संघ devoted to creative expression, spiritual inquiry, mutual respect, emotional and physical safety, and the cultivation of joy, beauty, and shared meaning.
The Sangha exists to provide a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for artists, practitioners, and community members to gather, create, heal, and grow.
All people who enter the space — members, visitors, stewards, facilitators, vendors, and board members — are part of the Sangha and are expected to uphold its values.
The Sangha belongs to the community. No individual, donor, or role may override its collective well-being.
2. Code of Conduct
All participants agree to the following principles while inside Wave & See spaces or representing Wave & See:
1. Non-Harm
We commit to not causing physical, emotional, or psychological harm.
2. Consent
All interaction must be voluntary, clear, and revocable. Silence is not consent. Pressure is not consent.
3. Clear & Intentional Presence
Wave & See is a conscious, intentional space. All participants agree to maintain a state of awareness that supports safety, consent, emotional regulation, respect for others, and coherent participation.
All forms of consumption — including food, herbs, supplements, medicines, or other substances — must be used in a way that does not impair judgment, boundaries, consent, or community safety.
No one may arrive severely impaired, facilitate while impaired, pressure others to consume anything, or use substances to avoid accountability.
Recreational alcohol use is not permitted during Wave & See programs, events, or regular Sangha activities. This includes, but is not limited to, alcohol-centered or party-style events.
Intentional, ceremonial, creative, or wellness-oriented use of herbs or medicines may occur when aligned with the safety, consent, and integrity of the Sangha.
Wave & See reserves the right to pause, redirect, or remove anyone whose state of impairment compromises the space.
4. Respect for Shared Space
We commit to cleanliness, care, and respect for quiet, focus, and boundaries. The space is a sanctuary — not a party venue.
5. No Gossip, Slander, or Triangulation
We do not spread rumors, speak behind others' backs, or manipulate relationships through third parties. Concerns should be brought directly or through mediation.
3. Conflict & Restoration Process
When harm or tension arises:
Step 1. Direct conversation — Address the concern directly with the person involved, grounded in compassion and honesty.
Step 2. Mediation — If direct conversation doesn't resolve the issue, request mediation through a neutral party or the Board.
Step 3. Community safety review — If needed, the matter is brought to the Board for a safety and integrity review.
All processes are grounded in compassion, fairness, and protection of the Sangha.
